Water first passes through a triple 20-inch pre-filtration stage - a sediment filter, an activated carbon filter, and a carbon block filter - that captures larger particles, chlorine, and organic compounds before they reach the RO membrane. After the membrane stage, an activated coconut shell post-filter gives the water a final polish, improving taste, odor, and clarity.
