Carbon Block and GAC Cartridges
Carbon block and granular activated carbon (GAC) cartridges are the most widely used filtration media for improving drinking water taste and odor by adsorbing chlorine, chloramines, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and disinfection byproducts (DBPs). Carbon filtration is an essential stage in every residential and commercial RO system, protecting membranes from chlorine degradation in pre-filter positions and polishing final water quality in post-filter positions.
Carbon block cartridges provide superior performance over loose GAC by creating a uniform, tortuous flow path through the compressed carbon matrix, maximizing contact time and adsorption efficiency.
