About Alkaline Water
Alkaline water is drinking water with a pH above 7, usually with added calcium, magnesium and potassium. People choose it for its taste and mineral content. Calcium and magnesium are essential minerals, and drinking water can add a small amount to what you get from food.
Milk is a rich source of calcium, but meeting the daily requirement from milk alone takes a lot of it. Mineral water is one way to add some calcium. AMPAC USA alkaline water systems add calcium, magnesium and potassium to purified water and raise its pH.
The AMPAC USA Alkaline Energy Ceramic Filter raises the pH of acidic water and adds minerals at a low cost.
The filter is rated to raise the pH of tap water to about 10, where typical calcite filters reach about 7.5, and to lower its oxidation reduction potential (ORP) to as low as -500 mV.
