The AMPAC USA Fully Equipped LX Series Commercial Turnkey Brackish Reverse Osmosis 4,400 GPD | AP4400-LX is the result of 28 years of experience with the needs and requirements of commercial pure water consumers with brackish and well water. This includes family homes, restaurants, coffee stores, convenience stores, microbreweries, supermarket produce and food preparation operations, misting and humidification systems, car wash facilities, and many other businesses that must have consistently high-quality water for their daily operations. System production is based on the following conditions: 10,000ppm NaCI feed water, 77°f/ 25°c Operating temperature and 3.0-11.0pH Range.  Actual feed water analysis may require special consideration affecting final design and pricing.

The AP4400-LX at 4,400 GPD and 3.06 GPM is sized for high-demand commercial environments where water supply interruptions translate directly to lost revenue — large-format restaurants, hotel water service, light industrial process lines, and small-batch bottling operations. Six FILMTEC TW30-4040 membranes operating at 75% recovery deliver over 3 GPM of product water continuously, with reject volume low enough to manage on standard commercial drain sizing. The 1.5 HP pump on 208-240V handles the pressure requirements without the service issues common to undersized motors running at continuous duty.

Pre-Treatment Requirements

At 3+ GPM, pre-filter sizing becomes critical — undersized sediment housings create pressure drop that starves the high-pressure pump and triggers low-pressure cutoffs. Size pre-filter housings for at least 5 GPM capacity with 5-micron cartridges and plan for monthly replacement in high-turbidity supply conditions. Carbon pre-treatment is mandatory for chlorinated feeds. If feed TDS exceeds 2,000 mg/L — common in agricultural areas or coastal groundwater — contact AMPAC engineering before ordering, as operating pressure requirements may push outside the standard 150-250 PSI range.
