SWRO equipment is majorly used for offshore work and activities. These units are capable of producing large amounts of freshwater using the supply of seawater from the oceans. But these are also available as Land Watermakers used extensively for treating brackish waters and hence are one of the most useful water treatment units in the world.

These systems use the basic principle of reverse osmosis to turn impure water into safe and drinking water. Customized based on the need, the water makers are a boon to many individuals and industries alike. Seawater RO systems are available for various purposes across the world. Most of these are for Offshore purposes but a few Onshore activities also require the use of this equipment.

  1. Emergency Portable Watermakers:
As the name suggests, these are used in both onshore and offshore applications. These are confined to a box and easy to carry anywhere required. Useful in camping, scientific expeditions and more, they are capable of producing 150-200 gallons per day.
  2. Marine fresh water makers:
These are specifically used on boats, yachts, and commercial vessels. With a capacity of 100-9,000 gallons per day, these use seawater to turn it into fresh water without having to store the water onboard.
  3. Land Based watermakers:
Fully automated and equipped, these are capable of providing water for major commercial operations like hotel chains and Resorts. Not only this, sometimes these are used for offshore applications like in cargo ships. They provide 1,000 – 264,000 gallons per day.
  4. Offshore watermakers:
These are fully equipped explosion proof equipment meant for Oil and Gas Industry. They have the capacity of producing 1,000 – 264,000 gallons per day.
  5. Military fresh water makers:
These have to be NATO certified to be manufactured for offshore and onshore military operations. These are installed in cruisers, destroyers, near shore combat ships and submarines. They can produce 4,500 to 9,000 gallons per day.

These water makers are very specific in their uses and hence are customized individually. Each equipment is made to sustain for a long time without compromising on the quality of the water produced. Ampac USA is one of the very few manufacturers of all these equipment and has over 25 years of experience and expertise. Call us today to get a quote!
