Closure of Schools
Schools in Bristol like Mary Elton Primary School and Clevedon School announced that it would be closed due to the boil water notification. Authorities of the schools said that the decision was made after considering health and safety of the pupils.

Experts have stated that the levels of Cryptosporidium present in water was quite low and the advisory to boil water was just a precaution.
What to Do If Cryptosporidium Enters your Body?
If you suspect that Cryptosporidium has entered your body, or you feel unwell or experience symptoms of diarrhea or vomiting, then you should call NHS 111.
You can also try the following to reduce the symptoms if the symptoms are not severe:
- Drink a lot of water to replace the fluids that you have lost
- Take as much rest as possible
- Take ibuprofen or paracetamol
- Try rehydration drinks
In case these don’t work, or your symptoms worsen, you should contact your GP.
