In 2016, it was 1.69°F or 0.94°C while in the 20th century it was at an average of 57.0°F or 13.9°C. It had surpassed the record warmth of 2015 by 0.07°F or 0.04°C. According to predictions, the global surface temperature would be over 0.9°F or 0.5°C by 2020.
