You’ll find non-tuberculous Mycobacterium species just about everywhere in water. Studies show that natural water, and even drinking water, is the main way people get infected. So, it’s super important to control these bacteria in our water systems to keep people healthy. This article gathers all the published info and data, looking at what helps these bacteria grow in both natural and man-made water systems. It also covers how well different water treatments work. Based on all that, it points to ways we can control non-tuberculous mycobacteria in drinking water.<\/p>\n
